Your department's Driver Delegate will document your training completion as determined by your department's driver policies and procedures. The trainer will complete the Van Driver Hands-On Test checklist or equivalent assessment documentation and submit it to the employee's supervisor and/or department's Driver Delegate, according to that department's driver policies. The trainer will guide the trainee(s) through the items on the Van Driver Hands-On Test checklist, or an equivalent hands-on assessment documentation. Operator trainees must take their general training first. If you do not know who your Driver Delegate is, refer to the Handbook of Business Procedures, Part 19, and contact the Risk Manager at Driver Delegate for your department may find the following resources helpful when administering your van training.
